Postdoc Pitches will give you the skills to communicate your research in job talks and interviews, to industry and government leaders, and to your friends and family.
Communicating your research can be a challenge when you’re speaking to people who don’t have your training. The things you are discovering should help you move on to great things—a good academic job, a government grant, even saving the world—but you can’t get there if those outside your field can’t understand what you’re talking about. Postdoc Pitches is here to help! In the Postdoc Pitches sessions, you’ll learn the skills you need to change your language so the important parts of your research get communicated to a non-expert audience. Together we’ll workshop a short 3-5 minute elevator pitch about your research that will focus on clarity and impact, giving you the vocabulary you need to succeed.
